The minister Ibn Hubayrah, may Allah have mercy on him, said:
“Knowledge is acquired through three things:
The first: Acting upon it, for whoever burdens himself with speaking Arabic will be led to memorize grammar, and whoever asks about problems in order to act upon them according to the requirements of the Shari’ah will learn.
The second: Teaching, for if he teaches people, he will be more likely to learn it.
The third: Classification, for it takes him out into research, and classification is not possible for someone who has not grasped the depth of the knowledge in which he has classified.”
