قال العالم الفيزيائي الفرنسي "بيير كوري" الحاصل على جائزة نوبل في الفيزياء في عام 1903 م:
"لدينا 30 كتابًا بقيت لنا من الحضارة الأندلسية، تمكنا من تقسيم الذرة بالاستعانة بها ..! إذا نجا نصف المليون كتاب المحترق ، كنّا سنسافر بالفعل بين المجرات في الفضاء".

1903 Nobel Fizik Ödülü sahibi Fransız Fizikız Pierre Curie şöyle diyor:

"Endülüs uygarlığından geriye 30 kitabımız kaldı, onlarla atomu parçalayabildik. Yanan yangından yarım milyon kitap kurtulsaydı, uzayda galaksiler arası yolculuk yapardık."

The 1903 Nobel Prize in Physics winner, the French physician Pierre Curie, says:
“We have 30 books left behind from Muslim Andalusia so that we could split the atom. If half of the one million burned books could survive, we would already travel between galaxies in space.”
